Studio drawing class in charcoal and pastels, using photographs, prints and still life objects. Lessons in composition, color, atmospheric and linear perspective, along with demonstrations and critiques by the instructor. This studio class is for painters using either oils, acrylics, or watercolor, with an emphasis on landscapes. Students provide their own supplies and work from photographs, prints or still life objects. Demonstrations by the instructor in different media, along with individual instruction and critiques. This class is sponsored by Santa Rosa Junior College and is FREE for seniors. Saturday, October 24, 2009, 9AM - 5PM. Painting the vineyards after the harvest - - the grape leaves have turned to rich golds, oranges and crimsons. Demonstration first, followed by instruction at your easel while you paint. Lunch and beverages provided. Beginners to advanced artists welcome.
